Barbara Ann Sportsman

Barbara Ann Sportsman, 76, of Weatherford passed away Monday February 6, 2012. Barbara was born February 26, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Thomas Howard Richards, Sr. and Barbara Rue (Blitz) Richards. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara was a homemaker that enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She had also been known to go gambling at the horse races and vacation in Branson, Missouri. Mrs. Sportsman’s greatest accomplishment was cherishing her family.  She is preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Lynn Sportsman, father, brother Tommy Richards and on February 2, 2012, her mother.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Jerry; son, Jerry R. Sportsman both of Weatherford; grandson, Kyle Sportsman and wife Sandy; great granddaughter, Bailey and one on the way all of Stephenville; sister, Ellen Boswell; brother, Billy Richards both of Weatherford and a loving family of nieces and nephews.
 Graveside service: 2PM, Saturday, February 11, 2012 in the East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8PM Friday at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Please honor her memory with a gift to a charity of choice.
