Claire is survived by her husband, William Farmer; her son, Robert Farmer; her sister, Kathleen Badilla; and two grandsons, William and Collin Farmer.
Claire was born in Tucson, Arizona to Robert J. and Nellie Bonnis and was raised in Bagdad, Arizona where she attended Bagdad High School and became a member of the Masonic Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Later she moved to Tucson and began a long career in the banking world. In 1980 she married William Farmer and together they became a family of adventures living across the United States returning to Arizona several times. Claire, Robert, and William moved over 20 times supporting the government Law enforcement, and every branch of the military before settling down in Texas.
Claire joined many organizations to include the Melissa Christian Church, Garden clubs, quilting and sewing groups, and worked with the area food pantries and local charities. Her life became blessed with the arrival of two wonderful grandchildren, and loving daughter-in-law when her son Robert married into the Nelson family.
Claire was a loving and generous mother, sister, grandmother, and auntie who will be dearly missed. She had many professions, but her most beloved role was that of homemaker. Her homes were always exceptionally welcoming, wonderfully appointed, and meticulously decorated. With her husband, William, she cared for family members and close friends, it was an art to her, at which she excelled. We were gifted by her presence. Honored by her tireless efforts. Warmed by her quilts.
