Johnny Wayne Hicks

Johnny Wayne Hicks, 78, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2014. Johnny was born in Little Elm, TX on March 6, 1936.
Johnny was married to Lois Jean Mauldin on Feb. 11, 2000; but they have been a devoted and faithful couple since 1990.
Johnny worked as an airplane interior repairman for Braniff Airlines for 16 years. He also owned a swimming pool repair business for a number of years. Johnny was a gifted handyman and could fix almost anything. Johnny loved to fish, camp, and watch football but more than everything else he loved his family. During retirement, Johnny never sat still and was always tinkering in the shed or out in the yard and took great care of his wife as she aged.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Lois Hicks; his step-children, Mike, Brian and Lori Mauldin; step-grandchildren Megan, Katie, Luke and Lillian Mauldin; step-great grandson Ethan Mauldin, children Terry and Christopher Hicks and Tammy McCanon; his grandchildren Matthew and Abigail Hicks, Heather and Kyle McCanon; great granddaughter Madisyn Hicks; brothers Ira Hicks and Jimmy Worley; sisters Mae Robison and Bettye Williams and many loving friends at College Park Nursing Home.
Johnny is preceded in death by his father John McDaniel Hicks, his mother Lillie Brown-Hicks, and his sons Tony and John Hicks.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Sat., March 15 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
