Lura Jean Jones, 102, of Brock, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020, at her residence.
Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Brock Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, also at Galbreaith Pickard.
Lura was born May 28, 1917, in Brock, to Jess and Mary Kearney Fleming. She was a Brock High School graduate Class of 1935, a member of Highway Church of Christ and retired from Coca Cola Bottling Co in 1980. Lura loved spending time with her family.
Other than her parents, Lura was preceded in death by husband of 80 years, William “Bill” Jones and her brothers, T.J. and Clyde Fleming.
Left to cherish her memory include her children, Billy W Jones and wife, Dena, Betty J. Dale, and Monte Jones and wife, Linda; a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.
