Mary Ann Beverung, 77, of Aledo, passed away Wednesday evening, February 22, 2017, in Fort Worth.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Saturday, February 25, at St. Stephens’ Catholic Chapel, 211 S. Main Street, in Weatherford. A graveside committal service will follow at Annetta Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 P.M., Friday, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford with the Rosary recited at 6 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s Catholic Church.
Mary Ann was born February 21, 1940 on her family’s farm west of Annetta in Parker County. She was raised and has lived on that farm all of her life. The farm recently turned 100 years old. Mary Ann was one of two children born to John Vinson and Rosanna Kos. On October 17, 1969, Mary Ann married Paul Beverung and together had two children. She worked for many years for the Fort Walter’s Trumpet Newspaper where she earned several awards for journalistic excellence. She will be remembered for her hard work, generosity, and for always putting others first. Mary Ann loved animals, and was known for her yearly customized Christmas cards depicting animals in festive attire! Most of all Mary Ann cherished her family – particularly time spent with her grandchildren.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband Paul of 47 years; son, John Beverung and wife Dyanne; daughter, Lara Iadarola; grandchildren, Lara, Nathaniel, Sara, and Rachel; and by her brother, Joseph James Kos and wife Pat; and by many nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents.
