Ruth Gammill, 88, of Weatherford passed away Sunday, May 01, 2011. Ruth was born November 9, 1922, in VanZandt County, to Frances and John Newton Carter. She was a certified nurse and a member of North Main Church of Christ.
Mrs. Gammill was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Gammill; two sons and two grandchildren, Jamie Gammill and James Rodney Gammill, Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Don Gammill and wife, Nickey of Poolville, and James Gammill and wife, Debbie of Weatherford; five grandchildren, Doug, Shelly, Rusty, Coby and Curtis; and four great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, in the chapel. Visitation is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
