Adele L McCarty

Adele L. McCarty, 98, of Weatherford went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, February 5, 2009. Adele was born on April 21, 1910 in Jackson, Mississippi. She married Norman Thomas McCarty in 1928 and they moved to the Weatherford area where she lived most of her life. She was a homemaker most of her life but also worked in several nursing homes. She has been a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church for many years. Adele was a loving mother of five girls and one boy. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman in 1984. Four grandchildren also precede her in death. She is survived by her children Doris Jean Bragg and husband Francis of Richardson, Texas, Norma Stafford of Queens Creek, Arizona, Ray McCarty and wife Mary of Weatherford, Texas, Carolyn Chylmanski and husband Frank of Weatherford, Texas, Sandra Cammack of Yorba Linda, California, and Anita Sturdivant of Weatherford, Texas, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Adele was a remarkable woman who never met anyone whom she didn't love. She will be greatly missed by her entire family and a host of friends. Funeral service 1:00 PM Monday at Northside Baptist Church.  Visitation 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment in Memory Gardens cemetery.
