Adell Pope

Adell Pope, age 82, of Weatherford, died Wednesday night, June 4, 2008 in a local nursing facility. Born June 23, 1925 in Weatherford, where she had lived all her life. A 1943 graduate of Weatherford High School and she married the love of her life Joe Pope April 3, 1946. Adell was a homemaker and a member of the Couts Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Pope was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Pope in 1999, one sister, Rose Jordan, and two brothers, Emile Jumez and Ernest Jumez. 
Survivors: Daughter – Kaye Martin and husband, Frank of Weatherford
                 Son – Alan Pope and wife, Becky of Weatherford  
5 Grandchildren- Lara Cavazos  (Carlos)  
                           Melisa Prentice (Stan)
                           Karyn Roberts (Jason)
                           Kimberly Allen (Nick)  
                           Joey Pope (Emily)  
7 Great Grandchildren- Cross, Trystan Prentice, Nate, Olivia, Sophia Cavazos, Emily Allen, and Ethan Roberts.  Graveside service will be held at 10am on Monday June 9, 2008 in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home
