Agnes Rose Glass

Agnes Rose Glass, age 91, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2022, in Weatherford, TX at the home of her daughter, Christine Walsh.

Agnes was born August 6, 1930, in Bridgeport, CT to Michael J. and Anna B. McNulty. In 1950, Agnes married Charles J. Glass upon his graduation from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. Together they raised five children, and in 2003 settled at their final home in Leisure World at Silver Spring, MD.

Agnes was predeceased by her husband, and a grandson (Jackson Walsh). She is survived by her children, their spouses, five grandchildren: Lawrence Glass, Silver Spring, MD; Cathleen Glass (Dennis Freemen), Wilson, NC; Christine Walsh (Kevin Walsh), Weatherford, TX; Margaret Glass (Peter McCartney), Springfield, VA and their children Claire and Ian McCartney; and Susan Glass (Jeff Drewniany), Middletown, CT and their children Peter, Emily, and Sofia Drewniany. Agnes also leaves behind a large extended family with many beloved nieces, nephews, and their children.

Since 2020, Agnes rotated her residency among the homes of her children and their spouses, allowing her to enjoy warm springs in Texas, sunny summers in Cape Cod and Maine, and holiday seasons in Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia. Her final years of care were eased by home health care workers and Alpha Omega Hospice; we are thankful for their support especially during the global pandemic.

Services will be held at a later date with eventual burial at Arlington National Cemetery.
