Alice Ann Hollis

Alice Ann Hollis, age 87, passed away, March 5, 2013. She was born June 19, 1925 in Texhoma, Oklahoma to Herman and Alice Boston Gens.  Alice was a longtime resident of Texhoma, Oklahoma.  She also lived in Perryton, Texas for 9 years prior to moving to Weatherford in 2007. Alice was a member of Texhoma United Methodist Church and Past Worthy Matron of the Texhoma Order of the Eastern Star.
 
She is preceded by her husband, Lafelle Hollis; parents, Herman and Alice Gens; sisters, Chloteal Woods, Oletha Ireland; brother, Gerald Rankin.
 
Alice leaves behind to cherish her memories a daughter, Loretta Vick and husband, Clifford of Weatherford; Son, M. L. Hollis, Jr. and wife, Mary of Houston; grandsons: Jerrod Vick and wife, Melissa of Austin, Travis Vick and Tyla Hairrell of New Fairview, Mark Hollis of Houston; granddaughters: Haley Hollis of Houston, Melanie Hollis and Justin Cumberledge of Houston; great-granddaughter, Taytum Schlarb-Vick of Alva, OK; great-grandson, Blane Cumberledge of Houston; sister, Elizabeth Cordray and husband, Calvin of Jefferson City, MO; brother, John Rankin and wife, Beth of San Antonio; 10 nephews and four nieces.
 
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11 AM at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rod Corder officiating.  Visitation will be from 9-11 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2013.  Burial will be 10 AM, Monday, March 11, 2013 at Texhoma Cemetery with Rev. Steve Roach officiating.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Texhoma United Methodist Church located at 301 West Main Texhoma, Oklahoma 73949 and Kids Against Hunger Parker County of Weatherford.
 
Arrangements are under the direction of Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm St Weatherford, Texas 76086.
