Alice Genevieve Hobson

Alice Genevieve Hobson, 87, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 in Weatherford, Texas. She was born November 20, 1934 in Stephentown, NY. Alice was the daughter of the late Floyd J, Sr. and Hazel (Turner) Whitman. She was a factory worker for W.J. Cowee of Berlin, New York for 34 years, then worked for Wal Mart in Weatherford for 10 years, before she retired. She enjoyed crafting, square dancing, and spending time with her family. 

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her siblings Floyd J. Whitman, Jr., Gertrude L. Whitman and Helen Thomas, and her longtime companion Chuck Williams. 

Alice is survived by her daughters Debra Smyton and Brenda Weger, her son-in-law Peter Smyton and Brenda’s partner Mark Maddy. She is also survived by her six grandchildren Geoffrey (Brandy) McKinnon, Robin Smyton, Kaitlyn (Zach) Hall, Bridget (Logan) Hurt, Johnathan (Nicole Guinn) Weger, and Adam Weger; and by six great grandchildren Mat Truelove, Jackie Hall, JP McKinnon, Dane McKinnon, Max Hurt, and Wyatt Hurt.

Funeral Ceremony: 10 am, Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment immediately following in East Greenwood Cemetery
