Yvonne Considered herself a lifelong learner who loved her students and loved life, but her greatest achievement was receiving her Doctorate Degree. Yvonne never had children of her own from her two prior marriages, but considered her numerous nieces and nephews as her own. She was the fun, crazy aunt who loved to celebrate “unbirthday parties” with the kids. She loved her cats and learned to love the dogs of the ladies who cared for her in her later days. She had a full rich life traveling with friends and family, especially Susie, Karen & Harvey Bailey with her special friend Shorty. She was always calling nephews and nieces for help with her yard or handyman type jobs.
Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Thursday October 12, 2017 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Dicey Cemetery. A visitation will from 6-8 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Her brother in law, Lanham Ford, will be performing the service with assistance from her niece and his daughter Kay Morris. A meal will be served afterwards at NSBC on North Main.
