Alma Lois Stokes

Alma Lois Stokes age 96 of Weatherford, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at a local hospital.  She was born on December 28, 1919 in Dickins County, Texas to Thomas and Mary Hale.  Alma was a beautician and met many lifelong friends from her work.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Weatherford.  Alma enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.
 
Alma is survived by her daughter Lynn Frazier and husband Phillip, her son Dick Stokes and wife Rebecca, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
 
Alma is preceded in death by her husband of seventy-seven years Robert Stokes, her parents and ten brothers and sisters.
 


Memorial service for Mrs. Stokes 2:00pm on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.  Father Jay Atwood and Reverend Houston Hook will officiate.  Visitation 6-8pm Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
