Alta Juanita Lankford

Alta Juanita Lankford, age 99, of Weatherford, died Thursday, July 4, 2013.  Alta was born February 1, 1914 in Elmore City, Oklahoma to Rhoda Lee Patterson and William Thomas Guthrie.
Mrs. Lankford was a homemaker and a member of Primitive Baptist Church.  She loved sewing and was known as the quilt maker of the family.  She enjoyed baseball and was a Texas Ranger fan.  Alta loved working crossword puzzles and tending to her flower garden.
Mrs. Lankford is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lankford; daughter, Shirley Sue Arnwine; son, Wyndell Lankford and grandson, Danny Arnwine.
Survivors include daughter, Faye Gammon of Weatherford, son, Bobby Lankford of Weatherford, sister, Ivanell McBryde of Azle, fifteen grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 6, 2013 at
Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday evening
form 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment: Private.
