Alton F. Thouvenel

  Alton Finis Thouvenel passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2025.

  Born on December 29, 1941, Alton was the son of John Earnest Thouvenel and Grace Christine Simons Thouvenel. He resided in Aledo for many years before recently moving to Krum, Texas, to be closer to family. Alton dedicated his career to the Texas Department of Transportation before retiring.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Christine Thouvenel; his sisters, Adlois Parker and LaNel Shires; and his brother, Darrell Thouvenel.

  Alton is lovingly survived by his wife, Judy Thouvenel; his son, Kevin Thouvenel; his daughters, Kelly Preston and Keitha Carter and her husband, Brad Carter. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren, Michelle Frame, Sarah Rompe, Riley Carter, and Dallie Carter, and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Loreta Massie and Janel Thouvenel.

  Visitation is set at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a funeral service on Friday, February 28, 2025, starting at 1:00 p.m., also at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel; burial immediately following at Annetta Cemetery.
