Ann Lasater Dawson

Ann Lasater Dawson, 95, passed away Saturday August 9, 2014 in Fort Worth.  Born March 14, 1919 to Sterling and Nell Dennis in New Hope TX; Ann was one of 9 children.  Ann moved to Aledo to finish school and met Bill Lasater.  They married in 1938 and moved to Weatherford to raise their family of three girls.  Ann loved to cook and sew.  She took pride in making a home for her family.  When Bill passed away in 1983, she carried on.  She was a proud member of First Baptist Church of Weatherford.  In 1994 she married a longtime friend, Harold Dawson and they blended their families together.  Thanksgiving and Christmas were important family times; no one missed gathering for Ann’s cooking.  Sadly Harold passed in 2006.  Through everything Ann was a rock of support and love for her family.
Ann leaves behind her daughters Carlene Rockwell and husband David, Angela Norton and husband George, Pam Torbett and husband Ricky; step daughter Molly Evans; 6 grandchildren Melinda Rockwell, Sandy Heine, Sharon R. Clark and husband Cliff, Truman Edwards, Garrett Norton, Laci Norton; 5 great grandchildren Troy and Aaron Clark, Kristin Heine, Ginesis Norton, Sebastian Langford; and great great grandchild Caroline Heine.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her 8 siblings, both husbands, and her stepson Mike Evans.
 

A funeral service will be Wednesday August 13, 2014 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with interment at East Greenwood Cemetery.  A visitation will be Tuesday August 12, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
