Anna M. Mask, age 86, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025. Born on March 3, 1939, in Oran, Texas, Anna was the daughter of the late John Purefoy and Lucy (Bailey) Purefoy. She married the love of her life, Frank Mask, on February 8, 1958, after the two had attended school together in Graford, Texas.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Anna was a cherished member of her community and an enduring presence in the real estate industry for generations. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit-always treating others as Jesus taught.
A faithful member of Willow Park Baptist Church, Anna lived a life of generosity and compassion, touching the hearts of everyone she met. She found joy in traveling with her family and loved the excitement of horse races, always savoring life’s simple pleasures.
More than anything, Anna was a source of comfort and strength to those around her. Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lawrence, H.G., and Johnny Purefoy; sister, Lola Williams; and son, David Mask.
Anna is survived by her loving husband, Frankie Mask, of Weatherford, Texas; her sons, Michael Mask and wife, Julie, and Alan Mask and wife, Natalie; daughter-in-law, Ellen Mask; eight grandchildren, McKensi, Ana, Faith, Aaron, Tyler, Cody, Dylan, and Cade Mask; and her three great-grandchildren, Cody, Samantha, and Declan Mask.
She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Freddie Mask and wife, Barbara, and Jimmy Mask. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
A funeral service in her honor will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., at Willow Park Baptist Church, 777 Crown Pointe Boulevard, Willow Park, Texas 76087. Burial will follow at Oran Cemetery in Oran, Texas 76449.
