Annis Lynn Neighbors

November 1, 1950 — June 29, 2024

Annis Lynn Neighbors passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, after a valiant battle with cancer, with her family by her side. Anne was born on November 1, 1950, to Robert and Helen Neighbors in Fort Worth, Texas.

The family, including Anne’s younger sister, Shirley, and older brother, Alan, moved to New Mexico in 1954, eventually settling in Alamogordo in 1955.

Life was great in Alamogordo with the mountains on one side, the White Sands on the other side and plenty of friends. Excluding a year and a half stint in Corpus Christi around 1960 the family remained in Alamogordo until 1967 when all but Alan moved to the Boston area where Anne graduated from high school in 1968. She then moved back to Texas where she received her degree in Occupational Therapy from TWU and worked a long, successful career in this field.

Anne and her companion, Charlie Baird, for more than 20 years, made Weatherford, Texas their home for many years where both enjoyed antiques. Anne was adventuresome and loved to travel.

She is survived by her brother, Alan (wife, Joyce); her companion, Charlie; two children, Sarah Moore and Tim French (wife, Lena); seven grandchildren, Hunter, Austin, Caleb, Josh, Luke, Mauryn, and Parker; one great-grandchild, Arya; and one niece, Whitney.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, in Willow Park, Texas.
