Arnold Keel

Arnold Keel, passed away peacefully at age 88, Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Arnold was born August 2, 1933, in Knox City, Texas, to Richard Keel and Bertha Henson Keel.

Arnold proudly served in the U.S. Navy from February 1951 to May 1954, during the Korean War. Arnold married the love of his life, Bobbie in 1957, together they raised three wonderful children. Arnold was a diligent worker, a firm believer of integrity and took pride in his occupation. He continued working in the construction industry and later retired as a Union Brick Mason. 

After his retirement, Arnold decided to continue his accomplishments and became a construction leader for the Tarrant Co. College. Arnold was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and International Union of Bricklayers local #6. 

He had a servant's heart and found joy in helping others. In his leisure time Arnold loved spending time with his family, going on cruises, fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. Arnold was a member at the Sanctuary of Praise Assembly of God Church, where he loved to worship the Lord. He adored his family and friends and will be missed dearly.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents.

Arnold is survived by his wife, Bobbie Keel of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Sherri Keel of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Sandy Hopkins and husband, Johnny of Weatherford, Texas; son, Jackie Kerr and wife, Fonda of Mineral Wells, Texas; brother, Edsel Keel and wife, Linda of Decatur, Texas; grandchildren, Monica Steward and husband, Jamie, Douglas Hopkins and wife, Amanda, and Lacy Kerr; great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Steward, Jaxon Steward, Kaylee Hopkins, Emma Hopkins, and Max Cross.

Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm., Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel Weatherford, Texas 76086.
Graveside Service 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2022, at Lemley Cemetery, Cold Springs Rd., Weatherford, Texas 76088.
