Barbara Ann Torbett

Barbara Ann Torbett, 70, suddenly passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021, in Weatherford, while surrounded by her family, and is now at peace in heaven.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Couts Memorial United Methodist Church in Weatherford on Thursday, March 18th, at 2:00 p.m. Masks are required.

Barbara was born on June 28, 1950, in New Orleans, to Leon and Miriam Brinkman. She never lost her New Orleans roots. “Her big smile, Cajun fun and sassy attitude will always be treasured!” If you knew her you know she loved hard and let everyone know that. She married Weldon Torbett on June 2, 1988. She was so proud to be a wife, mom, and “GiGi”. Barbara also will be remembered for being a “mother to everyone.” What a legacy, what a life. I encourage each of you to remember her in your hearts forever.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Weldon; her daughters, Meagan and husband, Armand Ely, and Caitlin Apodaca; her grandchildren, Kyler, Anemaes, Hayley, and Elle; her father-in-law, Waymond Torbett; her sister, Cyndi and husband, David Garrett, and their children, Stacey, Sean, Ashli, Kelly, and Matthew; and by her brother, Leon Brinkman and his son, Ryan; brothers-in-law, Ricky and Pam Torbett, and Larry and Marcia Torbett, and their son, Landon.
