Weatherford

Barbara Nell Belding, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on July 3, 1941, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Fred and Callie Brown, she lived her life with grace, compassion, perseverance, and a deep commitment to her family and community.

Barbara graduated from R.L. Paschal High School in Fort Worth in 1959 and worked in many retail positions ending her career as a cash manager for Kmart until her well-deserved retirement. Her organizational skills and drive to connect with people shined brightly in her later years as she kept the residents of Windsor Court engaged through various social events, where she organized potlucks, participated in Bible studies, and enjoyed countless games of Bingo.

She loved to serve others. She was a community reader with students at Curtis Elementary School in Weatherford ISD for many years. As a dedicated member of Friendship Baptist Church, Barbara was passionate about continuing to give back to her community, playing a significant role in the church’s food bank initiatives. Her desire to serve others in need allowed her to make a positive difference for many families. In her leisure time, she cherished moments spent reading a good book, sharing lunch with dear friends, and cheering on TCU football.

Above all, Barbara treasured her family. She devoted herself to attending every event she could and always looked forward to time spent with her great-grandchildren, whether it was playing Yahtzee, or enjoying card games, attending their church activities, or youth sports events. Her love and laughter created lasting memories for all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her children, Edward "Ed" Belding and spouse, Peggy; David Belding and spouse, Angela; and Beth Sipos and spouse, David. She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren, Mary Beth Bagley and spouse, Wally; Melissa Belding; Dakota Belding; Jacob Belding and spouse, Samantha; Mark Belding; Allison Belding; Savannah Sipos; Caleb Sipos and spouse, Grey; and her precious great-grandchildren, Alec Martin; Alandra Martin; Lyric Martin; Payton Mercer; Kaden Mercer; Trace Bagley; Rebekah Bagley; Paul Belding; Reagan Belding; and Joanna Belding. She is also survived by her sister, Freda Petersen and spouse, Don and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Paul Belding, and her beloved parents.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Mark Wylie for his exceptional care and dedication over the years, ensuring that Barbara was always in good hands.
