Barbara Jane Jones

Barbara Jane Jones passed away at home Sunday April 6, 2014.  Born September 22, 1946 in Santa Anna TX to William Harvey and Fannie May McIntire; Barbara was one of eight children.  Barbara’s mother Fannie passed away when she was just two; Barbara was raised by her loving step-mother Ruby McIntire.  After high school, Barbara was working at a beauty shop in Abilene TX when she stopped one day for gas and met Larry Jones.  It was love at first sight.  They married in 1965.  Barbara became a LVN and worked for Weatherford Regional Medical Center taking care of people for 28 years.  She and Larry raised their two children in Weatherford and were members of Friendship Baptist Church.  Barbara was a special lady, a caregiver and will be missed greatly.
Barbara leaves behind her husband of almost 50 years Larry Jones of Weatherford; children Lori Jones of Fort Worth and Gary Jones of San Antonio; five four-legged beautiful granddaughters; sisters Olivia Elam, Peggy Hibbs, Judy Zabel; brothers Matt McIntire, Tommy McIntire, Larry McIntire; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Linda Osburn.

A visitation will be at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel Tuesday April 8, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.  A funeral will be at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel Wednesday April 9, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
