Barrett Clay Smith (Hooty) was born December 29, 1969, in Weatherford, Texas. He went to meet his Lord and Savior on November 20, 2010. Barrett was a blessing to his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Barrett lived in Weatherford for most of his life and attended Weatherford Schools. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and most of all a good friend. Barrett never met a stranger and his heart was open to all.
Barrett was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cazy “C. B.” Burts and Eula Christine Perry of Weatherford.
He is survived by his son, Christian Smith and best friend, Tracy Smith, both of Boyd; mom and dad, Jo and Harold Ogle of Weatherford; sister, Kayla Wallace and husband, Kenny of Athens; sisters, Dena Perry of Weatherford and Stacy Jagger and husband, Depek of Knoxville, Tennessee; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held November 26, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 24, 2010.
