B. C. “Bill” Eastman, age 81, of Aledo, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in Fort Worth. Born April 23, 1930 Aledo, Texas where he had lived all his life. He was a retired office machine salesman and technician, caretaker for the Aledo Brown Cemetery, Veteran of the U. S. Air Force and member of the Aledo Methodist Church He was former member of the Aledo School Board, Aledo Volunteer Fireman, Board member of the Aledo Community Center. Bill loved sports and Aledo Youth Sports where he coached and volunteered at various levels. He was one of the founders of the Aledo Little League and he was the first center on the first Aledo High School Football Team. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Leta Eastman of Aledo; daughter, Barbara Ballard and husband, Jerry of Pflugerville; son, Kenneth Eastman of Aledo; eleven grandchildren, Nolan, April, Jake, Angel, K.C., K. K., Billy, Robin, Garrett, Rita and Opal; seven great grandchildren, Caleb, Daniel, Christopher, Faith, Jackson, Gage and Braylin; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at 10 AM, Friday, July 22, 2011 in the Aledo Brown Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to the Aledo Athletic Department or the charity of your choice.
