Belinda Gail Bouyer

  Belinda Gail Bouyer, age 65, of Brock, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 4, 2024, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Through her cancer journey, she taught those around her what it looks like to live bravely and always with joy and a smile. She was known for her trademark spark, even until the end. Belinda will forever be a bright, guiding light to her family and loved ones. She was the most amazing wife, mother, and nana who was always there when we needed her. She always offered support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of the Brock community and leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength. 

  She was born on November 23, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas to Ken and Donna Benware. She married the love of her life, Johnny Bouyer, on April 9, 1977, and they shared 47 wonderful years together. They have three children: Shawn, Brett, and Heather. 

  Belinda taught for almost 30 years. Most of her time was spent at Brock Junior High, where she made many friends and left a lasting legacy. 

  Belinda’s favorite activities included camping in her beloved Shasta AirFlite camper “Donna Jean,” going to the beach, spending time with her grandkids, antiquing, and hanging out on her back porch with her family. 

  Belinda was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Benware, and her brother, Jim “Bo” Benware. She is survived by her loving husband, John Bouyer; children: Shawn and Amanda Bouyer, Brett and Kala Bouyer, and Heather and David Crudup; her absolute greatest blessings her grandchildren: Tyler Bouyer, Dalton Cook, Riley Bouyer, Dylan Cook, Tinsley Crudup, Emersyn Crudup, Casen Crudup, Daxten Bouyer, and Willow Bouyer; beloved neighbors, Gary and Sara Etherton; father, Ken Benware; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenny and Marylou Benware, and Roy and Brandy Benware; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

  A memorial service has been scheduled for Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Brock Junior High School, in Brock, Texas.

  The funeral chapel is not involved in the service.
