Benjamin Hobson, 32, of Weatherford, died Sunday, February 28, 2021, as a result of a single-vehicle accident in West Texas.
Ben was truly one of a kind, a free-spirited young man, and a real Texas cowboy. He never met a stranger and loved being with people. He had many friends and enjoyed roping with other cowboys. His love of animals was evident-always having dogs, goats, cows, horses, and chickens.
Ben made a profession of faith at an early age at North Side Baptist Church. He graduated from Millsap High School. He excelled in his hobby of welding. He did several welding projects in the Parker County area. In his spare time, he also enjoyed doing leather crafting. His work as a cowboy on ranches was a joy to him.
He loved his young son, Hayes Hobson, and looked forward to spending time with him. Ben enjoyed family gatherings and often times would grill fajitas for family members on birthdays or special occasions.
Ben will be missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Lachelle Hobson; his son, 4-year-old Hayes Hobson; his father, Brett Hobson; his mother, Phyllis Brown Beckman; step-father, Steve Beckman; grandparents, Phillip and Linda Hobson, Charlie and Frances Brown; his parents-in-law, William and Lisa Butcher; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
