Bernice C Straily

Bernice C. Straily, age 91, of Crescent Senior Care in Weatherford, died
Saturday, October 17, 2009.  Bernice was born December 31, 1917 in Garland City, Arkansas.  She was approximately 2 years old when her mother passed away.  Her father passed away when she was 9 years old.  She lived in Electra when she was very young and after her father passed away, she was reared in Hood County, between Tolar and Paluxy.  She lived in Texas, California, Oklahoma and Missouri and finally settled in Weatherford, September 1987. 
 
She has always been a hard worker and worked a few jobs in Weatherford. She was also very good at hand-sewing clothes etc.  She was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church in Weatherford for many years before her passing. 
 
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nettie Josephine Woods McLeod, a son Carter Ray Black and a grandson Stephen Dewayne Bolton.
 
She is survived by Daughter, Yvonne Bolton and her husband, J. R. of Millsap, Texas, 5 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 12 great grandsons, 7 great granddaughters, 3 great great grandsons and 2 great great granddaughters.
 
Funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, October 20, 2009 in the
Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in the Annetta Cemetery.

Visitation will 6-8 PM, Monday, October 19, at the funeral home.
