Bertie Marguerite Gandee

Bertie Marguerite Gandee, 91, of Weatherford passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at her residence. Funeral service: 10 a.m, Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Zion Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m, Tuesday at the funeral home. Bertie was born July 24, 1924 in Parker County, Texas to Willie and Gertie Mitchell. She was a homemaker, a longtime active member of the Zion Hill Community and helped her husband farm several acres of land. Bertie loved gardening, watching birds and she was an incredible cook. Bertie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donley E. Gandee and a sister, Sylvia Phelan. She is survived by her sons, D. Everett Gandee,II and wife Elizabeth Buch-Gandee, Wesley Gandee and wife Cynthia, Joe Gandee and wife Karin, Roger Gandee and wife Jane; sister, Evelyn Sosebee; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
