Betti Jean Combs

Betti Jean (McMillan) Combs passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008.  The only child of Georgia English and John Murray McMillan, Betti was born in McComb, Mississippi on June 10 1927. She attended Gloster High School and was graduated from Gulf Park College, a finishing school in Gulfport, MS. She also attended the University of Mississippi and Newcomb School of Business in New Orleans, Louisiana.

She was employed as an agent for National Airlines for two years and for Eastern Airlines for 32 years, enjoying retirement in March of 1985.

For the past 10 years she was a resident of Veranda Place in Weatherford under the care of the loving nursing staff there.

She has one son, John “Kevin” Walsh and wife Christine and a grandson, Jackson K. Walsh, all of Weatherford.

Visitation: 5 PM to 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 11, 2008. There will be no funeral services in the Weatherford area.
