Betty Jo Ogle, 81, of Weatherford, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021. She was born January 21, 1940, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to Joe and Myrel Turney. Betty was a faithful member of South Side Baptist Church, where she was the secretary for many years. After retirement from the church, she worked alongside her son at Mountaineer Lanes Bowling Alley in Mineral Wells. Betty was the matriarch of her family and will be remembered for her love and devotion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth Ogle and a brother, Joe Danny Turney.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Vickey Adams and husband Randy, Joe Ogle and wife Kristi; siblings, Joyce Turney and Jerry Don Manning; grandchildren, Randie Lynn Shields and husband Bill, Samantha Piles and husband Ernie, Keri Adams and husband A.J. and Nikki Ogle; 10 great grandchildren and her special companion and caretaker, Robert Cole. Betty is also survived by many special nieces, nephews and other family members that helped take care of her.
Visitation: 2-4 pm, Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Funeral service: 2 pm, Monday, November 29, 2021 at the funeral home with interment to follow at East Greenwood Cemetery.
