Beulah Jewell Banks, 97, died early Wednesday, November 28, 2012, in a local nursing facility.
Beulah was born November 5, 1915, in Joplin, Texas, to Elmer and Chella Smith. She was a resident of Weatherford for many years. She was a homemaker, member of the Church of Christ, a Senior Center Volunteer and member of Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion. Beulah was family driven and loved quilting, ceramics, animals and painting.
She was preceded in death by her children, Juanita Jewell Pyle, Y. T. Banks, Jr., James Lynn Banks; parents, Elmer and Chella Smith; and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors: daughters-in-law, Anita Banks of Benbrook and Mary Ann Banks of Benbrook; son-in-law, Jerry Pyle of Benbrook; seven grandchildren, Sonny Lynn Nelson and wife, Janice, of Caddo Mills; James Banks and wife, Debra of Wasilla, Alaska, Tommy Glenn Nelson of Caddo Mills, Teresa Dyer of Moulton, Kenneth Banks of Benbrook, Cindy Perkins and Delayna of Fort Worth, Angie Wright and husband, Scott of Weatherford; nine great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012, in the Fairview Cemetery, in Joplin, Texas.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November, 30, 2012, at the funeral home.
