Beverly Sue Oakley

Beverly Sue Oakley, 87, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Holland Lake Nursing Center. Beverly was born November 23, 1933, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Lewis (Pat) and Lydia Skidmore Curtis. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Weatherford and a loving homemaker that was dedicated to taking care of her family. 

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter K Oakley, Sr.; daughter, Patty K. Crosby; son, Walter (Kenny) Oakley, Jr.; and her brother, Joe R. Curtis. 

She is survived by her son in law, Richard Crosby of Weatherford; granddaughter, Stacie Alvarez and husband, Robert Alvarez of Abilene; and four great grandsons, Jacob, Dominic, Luke, and Ezekiel Alvarez, all of Abilene.

Graveside Service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Curtis Cemetery, with Rev. Joseph Nader officiating. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2021, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 301 South Main Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
