Bill McAnally, age 76, of Weatherford passed from this world to join his Heavenly Father, Friday, July 25, 2008, in his home. He was born July 9, 1932, in Tullis, Louisiana, moving to Weatherford after his time in the military. Bill joined the military at the age of 17, serving 4 years in the US Navy as a Communication Operator in the Korean War. Upon returning home he worked in the oil fields & General Dynamics as a Line Maintenance Supervisor. Eventually He became a Truck Driver & Business Owner. He drove millions of miles over his 40 years on the road, retiring at the age of 72 to open his own State Inspection Shop until 2006. Bill was a kind & caring man, who will be missed by all. The things that brought him great joy were his family, & helping others. He loved to go hunting with his Grandsons, travel to Louisiana to visit his Brothers. He spent a lot of time in his shop working on odds & ends passing the day. He couldn’t stand to sit still, always had to be busy tinkering with something.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of 30 years; daughter, Belinda, her husband, Keith; son, Jimmy, his Wife, Vonda; and grandchildren: Taylor, Tanner, Mackinzie, Jessica, Sean, John & Aaron; great-grandchildren: Trevor, Collin, Cheyanne, Brothers: James Everett, & Elvin; and sister, Barbara. Bill also had many-many close friends that he considered as much a part of his family as his actual family members.
