Billie Jean (Glenn) Taylor passed away in her home on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
A graveside committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday , August 27, 2021, at the Oakland Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas. A Memorial will be held at her church at a later date.
Billie was born on September 1, 1929, in Ranger, Texas, she was 92. She was the daughter of Virgil Glenn and Mary Beatrice Wallis. She grew up in and around Weatherford, Texas, before moving to Dallas in 1951. There she met her future husband, Lacy Clark.
She is survived by their three children, Douglas Clark of Dallas, Texas and wife, Judi, Gary Clark of Double Oak, Texas and wife, Sherry, and daughter, Jana Clark Hyatt of Chandler, Texas, and husband, Rick, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both parents and younger brothers, Raymond and Buck Virgil Glenn.
She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, and friend, as well as a devoted follower of Christ.
In Mom’s own words, “It only takes a moment of faith to accept Christ into our hearts, but it is a lifelong progression to grow more like him.” Mom has a tattered and worn Bible next to her chair where she was true to her word and made a commitment to spend time every morning in prayer and praise for everything God has done in her life.
Billie enjoyed working at North Richland Hills Baptist Church where she led a Divorce Care and Singles class with her friend Earnest Jones. She enjoyed walking her dog, Jack, and sitting on her porch swing with Jack visiting with her neighbors.
