Billie Jean Pell, a cherished mother, grandmother, and sister, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at age 72. One of nine children, Billie was born at home in Poolville, Texas, to the late Ed Poulter and Pearlie Blackmon, on November 2, 1951. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Maxine Casey and Terry Poulter, as well as her beloved husband, Delbert Pell.
Billie dedicated her career to nursing and showed compassion by caring for those in need. Her selfless nature shone brightly through her love for helping others. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially during family gatherings. Known for her culinary skills, Billie's delicious meals brought warmth and comfort to all who knew her.
Remembered fondly for her spirited personality, Billie's family treasures memories of her playful pranks and mischievous charm. She often took her children to the lake for fun-filled days of fishing. Billie would skillfully clean and cook their catch of the day!
Billie leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her children, Tina Albright (James), and Gene Stephens; eleven grandchildren, Joseph Stephens, Kayla Albright, Tyler Stephens, Brittney Stephens, Jordan Casey, Johnny Albright, Blessing Albright, James Albright, Jr., Sean Albright, Caleb Albright, and Jacob Albright; seven great-grandchildren, Berkley Fugett, Hadlee Fugett, Colter Fugett, Kollyns Stephens, Greylen Stephens, Lyrical Albright, and Harmony Albright. She was also survived by six siblings, Shirley Green, Henry Poulter, Kay Hoffman, D. D. Brown, Don Poulter, and Tinker Ray.
In remembrance of Billie Jean Pell's life, she will be deeply missed yet forever treasured in the hearts of those who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 10th, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the funeral ceremony following on Saturday, May 11th, at 10:00 a.m., both taking place at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas. Billie's final resting place will be at Greenwood Community Cemetery following the service.
