Billy (B.J.) Joe Waller

Billy (B. J.) Waller, age 84, of Peaster, died Sunday afternoon, October 4, 2009 at his residence. B.J. was born September 16, 1925 in Peaster, where he had lived all his life. He served his community as a member of the Peaster School Board for over 20 years and was honored as Alumnus of the Year in 1998. B. J. was a Deacon for many years at the First Baptist Church of Peaster, a volunteer firefighter for over 40 Years and he was honored as Parker County Volunteer Fireman of the year in 1996. He loved his tractors, mowing and working on his place and playing dominoes at the Senior Center with his friends. Mr. Waller was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Eleanor Waller. A special thanks goes to Integra Care Hospice, Rosie, Bobby, Brenda and Pam from the Waller family. Survivors: Two sons, Jerry Waller and wife Sandra of Weatherford and Weldon (Red) Waller and wife, Helen of Poolville; 9 grandchildren, 18 great gandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Edith Waller of Mineral Wells; friend, Viola Ford of Weatherford; numerous nieces and nephews.


Funeral service: 1 PM, Wednesday, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment: Memory Gardens. Visitation: 6-8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Weatherford Senior Center Building Fund, 1225 Holland Lake Rd., Weatherford, Texas 76086.
