Oscar Aguilar, Jr., AKA Billy Bob Hall, as he was known to his Texas friends, age 65, passed away at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, on January 6, 2025, after a short, brave battle with lung cancer.
He was born on October 3, 1959, to Oscar Aguilar, Sr., and Maria Hatera Aguilar.
He came to Weatherford in 1990 and worked for Keith Hall at Silver Spur Ranch. In 1992, he went to work for Joe Landers until 2001. At that time, he worked and helped Geri Landers with her Animal Rescue, until his passing. In January of 2022, he helped Larry Mahan at his ranch in Valley View, Texas. Larry treated Oscar with kindness and respect. He enjoyed his time there and stayed until Larry’s death in May 2023.
Oscar loved Rock and Roll Music, his band equipment, and animals. He never met a stranger! He was a very forgiving person and saw the best in everyone. He had a strong belief in God and would go to his Bible study class which he enjoyed very much and looked forward to his weekly meetings. Special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Craig Preston, who led the Bible study and were good friends offering friendship and guidance for Oscar.
He is survived by his step father, Hilario Quiroz and his wife; three sisters, Helen Aguilar of Phoenix, Arizona, Ruby Quiroz Milton of Florence, Arizona, and Vivian Young of Rosenberg, Oregon; as well as many nephews and nieces. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Ponchini and Bubba. While in the hospital for 20 days, they were his main concern!
He will be missed by all of us.
There are no services planned at this time. His wish was to be cremated and his ashes scattered around his cabin with his dog, Scrappy, who passed away last year.
Please remember Oscar, or Billy, however you knew him, for his kindness and friendship to everyone that he met. We will miss him.
