Billy Gerald Nichols

  Billy Gerald Nichols, 64, of Weatherford, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2023. He was born October 30, 1959, to Jerry Nichols and Jean Nichols Cason. Billy loved the Lord and was looking forward to his new home in Heaven. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and the Texas Longhorns. Billy was a talented craftsman and loved wood working. His career in the monument industry expanded over 40 years. 

  Billy leaves behind the loves of his life, wife, Shelda Nichols; son, Austin Nichols and wife Susana. He was Big Daddy to Paxton, Amira, and Preston. Billy also leaves behind his mother, Jean Cason; sister, Karen Edwards (Larry); father and mother-in-law, Delton and Patricia Caraway; sister-in-law, Ronda Berry (Dion); as well as several nieces and nephews and their families.

  He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Nichols, brother, David Nichols and stepfather, Ronald Cason.

  Our family would like to thank the nurses and their team at Beyond Faith Hospice and for the many visits, calls, and texts from everyone, thank you.

  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North Side Baptist Church Building Fund at 910 N Main St, Weatherford, Texas 76086.

  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at North Side Baptist Church 910 North Main Street, Weatherford, Texas. Burial will follow in Annetta Cemetery. The family will receive guests from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, Weatherford.
