Billy Joe Morgan

Billy Joe Morgan, 53, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, went to his eternal home July 8, 2013.  Billy was born June 10, 1960, in Weatherford to J.W. and Dorothy Morgan of Weatherford. Billy has been a lifelong resident of Weatherford. Billy married Sherri Kennedy Morgan of Granbury, Texas October 12, 1984, raising two beautiful children, Krystle and Joshua. Billy was a proud father and grandfather of two, Chandler Morgan and Betheny Couch, who were his pride and joy. Billy began working for Lockheed Martin when he was 18 years old as a machinist up until his death. Billy will be missed not only by his family and friends, but by every person he came into contact with and never knew a stranger. Billy's kindness towards others, encouragement towards others in need, sacrificing his needs for others, and giving more than he took resulted in the love and adoration of his family. His attitude and love for others were an example of what living life is all about as he lived life to the fullest. Survivors include two children, Krystle Morgan and Joshua Morgan of Weatherford, their mother and his best friend, Sherri Morgan Smith and her husband, Curtis of Weatherford; two grandchildren, Chandler Morgan and Betheny Couch of Weatherford; four sisters, Viola Powell of Mineral Wells, Leda Holder and husband, Jimmy of Weatherford, Rosetta Yoder and husband, Curtis of May, Texas and Geneva Gill and husband, John of Irving Texas; six brothers, George Morgan and wife, Janice, James Morgan and wife, Sarah, Tommy Morgan and wife, Verda, Walter Morgan and wife, Bonnie and Archie Morgan all of Weatherford and Dale Morgan of Lubbock, Texas, as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Billy Joe Morgan is greatly missed and loved.

Graveside services will be at 4 PM Wednesday at Tin Top Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas.  Visitation is from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
