Bob Wolfenberger, age 86, finished his course August 10, 2023, at home on his family farm where he started his life. Alta Boecker Wolfenberger raised Bob and his sister in the Zion Hill Community until his graduation from Peaster in 1954. He moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1955 with his dad, Alvin Wolfenberger and started a career in electricity. He worked as a lineman in Texas until 1961 when a devastating explosion took most of his eyesight. After healing, he graduated from Lubbock Barber School and started cutting hair in west Texas and ending in Weatherford in a small shop off of North Main in 1974. He was able to return to linemaning in 1975 in various places in Texas, Indiana and Kansas with Kansas being his home for almost 30 years. After retiring, he returned home to his family farm where he spent many hours gardening with his mother until her death. Bob loved his family and extended family very much and he hosted the family Christmas Eve gathering for many years until his health gave way. He loved to feed his song birds, play the piano, guitar and harmonica. Most of all he loved reading and studying the Bible. Bob suffered from Alzheimer's and Dementia with heart complications. He died at his beloved home where his life began.
