Bobbie Faye Pope

Bobbie Faye Pope, age 85, of Weatherford passed away February 16, 2018. She was born in Corsicana to Ira Artie Brazzel and Minnie Lee Shivers Brazzel. She retired at the age of 45 as a savings and loan manager. After retirement, Bobbie and James moved to New Mexico where she found great reward singing in the choir at The First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque. Bobbie and her beloved husband of 67 years enjoyed spending time with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren after moving back to Weatherford to be closer with them.

Bobbie is survived by her husband and retired minister, James Howard Pope; son, Michael Lynn Pope and wife Jettie; daughter-in-in-law, Barbara Pope; grandchildren, Stacy, Chris, Jason, Justin and Jeff; great grandchildren, Austin, Carter, Avery, Will, Sam, Charlie, Jordynn, Hunter, Koen, Gideon, Naomi, Xander, Evalynn, Titus, and Henry.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her father, Ira Artie Brazell; mother, Minnie Lee Shivers Brazzel; son, Randy Howard Pope; and sister, Floy Dowd.

Funeral service 10:00am Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Graveside service 2:30pm Wednesday at Oakwood cemetery in Corsicana. Gary Pope will officiate. Visitation 6-8pm Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
