Bobby (Bob) Lane Stout

Bobby “Bob” Lane Stout, age 84, left this world to be with our Heavenly Father Sunday, November 1, 2015. He was a resident of the Peachtree Place Alzheimer’s Unit in Weatherford, Texas during his last days. Bobby was born June 30, 1931 in Phoenix, AZ to Steven Edward “S.E.” Stout and Tennie Beatrice Holland Stout. Bob’s Father, a Woodmen of the World member, was seeking a better life for his family and migrated with the available work during the depression. Bob was 1 of 6 children in the S.E. Stout Family living the majority of his youth in the Boyd, Jacksboro, Lipan, Perrin, Graford, Peaster, Poolville, Pampa and Weatherford areas of Texas. He road more than 4 miles on horseback sharing the saddle with his brother Hollis to the Grassy Ridge School House.  The Stout family moved to the Panhandle area  when his Father began working for Cabot back in 1945 just a few miles outside of Pampa, Texas. Eventually, they bought a home in Pampa and stayed there until their children finished school. S.E. and Tinney upon the returned to the family farm located between Peaster and Poolville. Bob met the love of his life, Telva Lee Southard, at the home of a mutual friend, Toni, to celebrate their 1951 Pampa High School graduation. Bob was quite a dashing young man in his youth and a hotrod driver on the streets of Pampa. He entered into the Army in June 6, 1952-1954 and served his country proudly during the Korean War. Bob continued writing Telva and sending her photos during the war eagar to return home. While serving his country, Bob received the Bronze Star Union Service Metal, National Defense Service Metal and Good Conduct Metal. Upon receiving his Honorable Discharge as a Corporal from the United Stated Army Infantry Battalion, he returned to his true love Telva in Pampa, Texas. Bob and Telva eloped to Raton, New Mexico and were married July 16, 1954. Together they brought two sets of twins into the world. Beginning in 1956, the first set and the second set of twins four years later in 1960. With the love and support of their family and friends they reared their children in Pampa, Texas. Bob was a long time member of Central Baptist Church in Pampa Texas for 41 years. Upon retirement, Bob and Telva moved their membership to First Baptist Church in Weatherford, Texas 1999. Bob and Telva recently celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary.
Upon Bob’s retirement from Pantex after 37 years of dedicated service, he embarked on the next journey of his life, Grandchildren! They relocated to the Weatherford, Texas shortly thereafter. Bob was an avid elk and deer hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman all his life. He loved to listen to country music and gospel music. He so enjoyed playing his guitar with his brothers and friends, the annual Stout Men Fishing trips to Brazos River with his brothers and close friends. He loved being on the Stout Family Farm and felt “at home” sitting under the shade of a tree overlooking the land. There was so much Bob enjoyed in life: family, friends, and fellowship. He was a man of many talents and not to proud to admit when he was wrong. He loved the Lord and was a mighty prayer warrior.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, S.E. and Tennie Stout; brothers, Lawrence Theo Stout and Billy Wayne Stout; sister, Wynama Pearl”Susie” Stout Hamlin. Bob is survived by his wife, Telva Lee Southard Stout, two set of twins: Telva Gale and Dr. Jerry Wallace of Garland, Texas; Bobby Dale Stout of Weatherford, Texas; Brenda Lee Stout-powell of Weatherford, Texas; and Sandra and Steve Williams of Mansfield, Texas. Brothers: Hollis Stout of Poolville, Texas; Benny Stout of Pampa, Texas. Grandchildren: Bobby Lane Stout II of Poolville, Texas; Ashley Delane Tolson and husband, Owen of Nashville, Tenn.; Seth William Thomas Stout-powell of Weatherford, Texas; Shelby Shacole Williams, Shay Lee Williams and Skyler Colton Williams of Mansfield, Texas.
