Bobby Dale Frisbie, age 80, passed from this life to his heavenly home on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. He was born in Sayre, Oklahoma, on January 22, 1943, to J. A. and Addie (Brewer) Frisbie.
Bob proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict, earning a Bronze Star, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Marksman Badge, and other medals of Meritorious Service. Following his military service, he married the love of his life, Glenita (Nita) Mensch, in Killeen, Texas. He was not a stranger to hard work and owned and operated a plumbing contracting business for many years.
Bob donated his time to the Central Volunteer Fire Department and was on the Board of Directors at its inception. He also donated his time and work to the construction of a local church, where he was a faithful member.
Bob will be remembered as a talented guitarist, an avid crappie fisherman, and a fine Christian man.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Nita, of 51 years; sister, Ann Jackson; and brothers-in-law, Wesley Mack and Erman Jackson.
Survivors include sisters, Marty Mack and Linda Davis and husband, Ronnie Davis; nephew, Deryll Jackson; nieces, Debra Greenway (James), Darla Criswell (Phil), Kimberly Dow (Bryan), and Ronda Mason (Thomas); great nephews, Taylor and Tate Dow and Matthew and Nate Criswell; great nieces, Lacy Criswell, Sidney Dow, Brandi Mason, and Jessica Criswell; and great, great nephews, Radyn and Chasyn. Loved by his family and friends, he will be greatly missed.
There will be a private family celebration of life. Interment will be at Central Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas.
Donations may be made in his name to the Central Volunteer Fire Department or to the charity of your choice.
