Bobby Grant Brooks

Bobby Grant Brooks, 81, of Weatherford, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 in a nursing home.  Bobby was born September 22, 1929 in Clarksville, Texas to Opal and Jack R. Brooks.  Mr. Brooks joined the US Air Force in 1948.  He was an air police supporting the 185th fighter wing squadron stationed in Seoul, Korea and Osaka, Japan.  He was Quartermaster for the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Post Commander at Post 4746 and a member of MOCA where he served as district 6 Commander.  Bobby worked for Otis Elevator Company before he went to work for the Defense Nuclear Agency at Kirkland Air Force base in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Larry Scott Brooks and brother, Joe Dix Brooks.  Survivors included his wife, Donna; son, Richard Brooks; brother, Jerry Nix Brooks of Fairview, Texas; four grandchildren, Edward, Erica, Michelle and James and eleven great grandchildren.
 
Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Memory Gardens.
