Bonham D. (Bob) Bailey, 88, of Millsap, Texas, went peacefully home to be with his heavenly father on May 22, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born on July 16, 1923, in San Bernardino, California. He joined the Navy in April of 1944 and served two years during World War II aboard the USS Mindoro. Bob married the love of his life, Beatrice Dugan on November 22, 1947. He retired from Bell Helicopter as an inspector after 22 years of employment. He enjoyed being around his family and friends.
He always liked being busy with work and raised crops to sell for many years. Bob had a strong faith in God and was a member of the Millsap Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Joyce Bailey; a brother, Frank Jr. Bailey; and a sister, Doris Tandy.
Survivors include his loving wife, Beatrice; sons, David Bailey of Weatherford, Wayne Bailey and wife, Maria; and a daughter, Judy Carter of Millsap; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; and a host of friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2012, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
