Bonnie Hawkins

  Bonnie Bell Carnley Hawkins, age 86, went home to Jesus in the loving arms of angels on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.

  Bonnie was born July 26, 1925, to Melvin Geter and Minerva Elizabeth Carnley, in Olney, Texas, she was the sixth of nine children. She was a longtime resident of Weatherford she was a charter member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She lived for God and her family. She was a Sunday School Teacher for years. She loved to dance and listen to music.

  Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Geter and Liz; husband, Clyde; sister, Sue Ross; and brothers, Earnest Troy, Delbert, Lavissa, and Ronald Gene Carlney.

  She is survived by son, Ronnie Hawkins; son, Tommy Hawkins and wife, Joyce; daughter, Cheryl Williams and husband, Doug; and son, Billy Hawkins and wife, Denise; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sister, Goldie Baldwin; and brother, Don Carnley and wife, Ruby.

  Memorials may be made in Bonnie’s name to your choice of the following, American Cancer Association, Alzheimers Association of Grace Hospice.

  Her service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2012, in the Galbreaith Pickard Chapel with interment in Memory Gardens.

  Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012, at the funeral home.
