Boyd Wesley Phillips

Boyd Wesley Phillips, 101, of Weatherford, passed away on October 21, 2016, peacefully in his sleep after a short battle with lymphoma.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on October 25, 2016, at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Home. Reverend Van Houser of Northside Baptist Church will officiate. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on October 25, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.
Boyd was born in Stigler, Oklahoma on May 19, 1915. He was married to Thelma Parsons Phillips for 75 years, preceding her death in 2013. He and Thelma relocated from Odessa, where they were long-time members of Temple Baptist Church, to Weatherford in 2007, where they became members of Northside Baptist Church.
Boyd worked at Phillips Petroleum for 25 years, working in the oilfields of West Texas and New Mexico and laying pipeline in the North Sea to Holland, Norway and Germany.
Boyd is survived by his daughter, Shirley Howard, of Weatherford; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Ronnie and Teresa Phillips, of Providence Village; grandchildren, Mark Howard, Susan Phillips and husband, Jayson, Michelle Phillips, Chance Phillips and Andy Wright; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Noretta Livesay and Venita Vinzant; numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.
