Bradley James Hood

March 29, 1957 — May 16, 2015

Bradley James Hood, 58, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 16th, 12:53 pm, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with lymphoma.
He was born March 29th, 1957, in Youngstown Ohio, and served his country in the United States Air Force in active duty 1976-1980, and Air Force reserves from 1980-1982, receiving the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award as well as the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. Brad moved to Fort Worth in 1980 to begin his career at Lockheed Martin, and was a dedicated employee for 35 years as an aircraft assembler for the F-16 and F-35 programs. Brad met and married his wife, Joyce, in 1982, and together they raised 3 wonderful sons: Nathan, Micah, and Benjamin Hood.  Brad was a gifted musician and passed his talent and love for music to his sons. He encouraged them in their musical endeavors while also serving his community as an Aledo High School band parent, band board member, and Aledo band pit crew member for many years. Brad was a faithful servant of the Lord and a dedicated Bible teacher, and was currently serving as deacon at Ambassador Baptist Church in Weatherford, TX.
Brad is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Joyce, and their children: Nathan Hood of Ft. Worth Texas: Micah and Lauren Hood of Albuquerque New Mexico, and Benjamin Hood of the United States Navy. He is also survived by his parents, William and Margaret Hood of Canfield, Ohio, and two brothers Evan Hood of Columbus Ohio, and Kurtis Hood of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Visitation from 6-8pm, Tuesday May 19th at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.  Funeral service at 10:00 am Wednesday May 20th at Ambassador Baptist Church, Weatherford, Texas.  Interment at Annetta Cemetery.
