Brenda Ann Armstrong

December 16, 1946 — August 18, 2023

Brenda Ann Armstrong was born December 16, 1946, in Fort Worth, Texas to Melvin and Ora Mae Hines. She was raised and attended school in Weatherford, Texas. In her early years, Brenda worked as a Candy Striper and at Dairy Queen. She represented Dairy Queen as the Dairy Queen "Queen" during the annual parade.

It was through her job at Dairy Queen, she met her first husband, Charles David Floyd. Brenda and Charles had two daughters, Sherry Floyd and Diana Lynn Floyd. An automobile accident caused Charles to precede her in death on June 3, 1973.

Later in life, she married her second husband, Larry Dale Armstrong. Brenda and Larry had a daughter, Angela Dalynn Armstrong. An automobile accident resulted in Larry preceding her in death in 1981.

Her life was devoted to caring and raising her three daughters. Her faith in Jesus Christ carried her through the difficult times of her life. Brenda leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, family commitment, and lots of laughter.

Brenda is survived by her loving sisters, Wanda Dexter and Darla Peters; three devoted daughters: Sherry Floyd, Diana Floyd Forand, and Angela Armstrong Harvison; seven grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nanny: Matthew Overly, Jeremy Bolton, Charles Bolton, Destiny Armstrong, Lauren Forand, Hailey Harvison, and Isiah Harvison. She loved to sit and share stories with her four great-grandchildren: Alyssa Lund, and Ashton, Parker, and Scarlett Overly. Brenda has numerous nieces and nephews, who also knew her as Nanny.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Ora Mae White Hines; brothers: Ronnie Hines, Kenneth Hines, and Mike Epperson; and sister, Connie Hines Hunter.

A graveside service will take place at Spring Creek Cemetery on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
