Brenda Kay Handley

Brenda Kay Handley, 66, of Lipan, Texas, passed away early on Sunday, September 5, 2021, in Lipan.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 9, at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

Brenda was born on July 9, 1955, in Weatherford, Texas, to R.C. and Essie Harrell. Brenda worked in the Photo Laboratory at the Walmart in Hudson Oaks for many years. She enjoyed going Country Dancing. She was a very giving person who was always willing to help anyone who was in need. Most of all, Brenda will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family – particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Brenda is survived by her children, Amanda Box, Dusty (Tabitha) Choate, and Cassie Holbrooks; her grandchildren, Stetson (Jordan) Murdock, Kourtney (Ivan) Garcia, Jacey Barron, Landrie Gomez, Austyn Gomez, Lexi Choate, and Kelsy Choate; three great grandchildren, Addie, Jolene, and Sutton Murdock; her cousin and best friend, Jane Sullivan; brother, Tony (Mary) Harrell; sisters-in-law, Bridgett Harrell and Linda Harrell; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brothers, Johnnie, Freddie, and Phillip Harrell.
